Yvette studied Graphic Design in Sydney, Australia and later worked as a book designer for a leading publishing house. Relocating to Gunnedah, northwest NSW, she studied painting and drawing through Tamworth TAFE, attaining distinctions in each course.
Her work is strongly influenced by the local environment, a continuing inspiration. She uses a variety of media, including pastels, oils, acrylics, coloured pencils and inks. Whilst the majority of her work is landscapes, Yvette also enjoys figurative and still life subjects.
She has won numerous awards and her work is represented in private and civic collections in Australia, Japan, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Yvette occasionally privately in pastels and has achieved Master Pastellist status with the Australian Pastel Society. She has had an article published in the Australian Artist magazine, issue 238 - April 2004 "The Delicate Beauty of The Linear Stroke''.
Yvette now resides in Wingham, on the NSW Mid-North Coast.
