 After studying Graphic Design in Sydney, Australia, Yvette worked as a book designer and illustrator for a leading publishing house. Relocating to Gunnedah, country NSW a number of years later, she continued studying painting and drawing through the Tamworth institute of TAFE, gaining distinctions in both courses. Yvette now resides in Wingham, on the NSW Mid North Coast. Her work is strongly influenced by the local landscape, a continuing inspiration. She uses a variety of media and techniques in her work, including pastels, oils, coloured pencils and inks. Yvette also enjoys painting still life and portraits. She has won numerous awards and her work is represented in private collections in Australia, Japan, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Yvette works part-time as a tutor in pastels. She has Master Pastellist status with the Australian Pastel Society and is also a member of Australian Coloured Pencils.
